SATURDAY, APRIL 5 from 2-4pm in Doylestown:
MEET THE ARTISTS reception for Donna Lovely and Bill Jersey. Donna Lovely, award-winning Bucks County photographer, will feature some of her fine art photographs from France and Italy at the Doylestown store. Bill Jersey, artist and celebrated documentary filmmaker, now enjoys oil painting from his Lambertville home. You can see some of his paintings at the Doylestown Tubby Olive, one of which is titled, “Olives and Poppies.” Enjoy refreshments during the reception with our oils and vinegars and have fun talking with these two inspirational artists. Artwork changes monthly, with an opening reception on the first Saturday of each month.
DINE DOYLESTOWN, APRIL 21-27: Restaurant Week is here!
During Doylestown’s Restaurant Week over 20 restaurants will participate and serve special prefix menus for lunch and dinner in Doylestown. The Tubby Olive will be hosting two culinary events during this week: a tea tasting and desserts event and a guest chef. See details below.

Learn from the tea specialists about cooking with tea, tea pairings, and try our delicious new Spring teas: Pineapple Coconut Black Tea and Champagne & Berries Organic Green Tea. We carry a variety of Tea-for-All teas at our Doylestown store.

The Tubby Olive in Newtown hosts Guest Chefs Cheryl Gilmore and Linda Dansbury. They will share their cuisine and expertise with Newtown customers. Cheryl is currently the market manager at the Wrightstown Farmers Market and has started several organic vegetable gardens at area schools. She also runs Kids Cooking Studio and holds a Certificate of Culinary Arts in Pastry. Come and taste some great recipes with our oils and vinegars from Cheryl and Linda!
Art Exhibit in Newtown until APRIL 20: We welcome 5 local artists: Kathie Jankauskas, Paula Pennie, Sue Busch, Adrienne Edmonds and Laura Brandt, whose works will be displayed in our store until April 20. Their paintings and photography will feature themes of spring, flowers, and food! These three have exhibited at Artists of Yardley and Kathie’s work will be on display at the AOY Juried Show starting April 4. (www.artistsofyardley.org)

The Tubby Olive in DOYLESTOWN now carries gourmet teas from Tea-for-All based in Hopewell, New Jersey. We carry specialty teas such as Chocolate Raspberry Black Tea, Dragonwell Great Tea, and Organic Detoxify Herbal Tea.
Tea-For-All was founded in 2011 by Debbie, evolving from her personal love for the culture and rituals of tea and for an appreciation for the care and craftsmanship that goes into each individual tea type. She was recently joined in the business by her husband Mike. Both Mike and Debbie are Certified Tea Specialists, accredited by Specialty Tea Institute, Division of The Tea Association of the US. They eagerly share their knowledge through offering a wide variety of tea learning and tasting events throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. We are thrilled to offer their products to our customers!

2 ripe avocados
2 c. cooked quinoa
1 medium-sized tomato, diced
1 c. crumbled Feta cheese
2 T Tubby Olive Basil, Lemon, Lime OR Milanese Gremolata Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 375F. Slice avocados lengthwise and remove the pit. Using a spoon, gently scoop out the avocado flesh, place in a medium-sized bowl and lightly mash. Set aside the avocado shells. Mix the olive oil of your choice into the quinoa, then add tomatoes, stirring until combined. Place mixture into avocado shells; generously sprinkle with feta cheese. Place in oven for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted. Add salt and pepper and serve.
